Bangladeshi Illegal Immigrants in Assam may be deported!

Bangladeshi Illegal Immigrants have spread like plague not only in Assam,North East Region but in entire India!

“The Hindu rate of population growth is declining. But the Muslim rate is rising. Most of the Muslims here are from Bangladesh. If this continues, the Assamese Hindus will become a minority soon; we will lose our language, our culture, our identity,” Himanta Biswa Sarma, Finance Minister in the Assam Government.

“Our detect-delete-deport campaign is even more important because now Islamic extremist groups from Bangladesh are also sending their people to India along with the immigrants on this route,” said Samujjal Bhattacharya, a longtime activist.

As per sources, it was found out that it was ridiculously easy for a foreign national to acquire Indian citizenship by submitting fake documents or by paying as little as Rs. 10,000 to acquire one. Prabajan Virodhi Manch (PVM), an NGO against the infiltration of migrants, is of the view that the Assam government was not doing its bit to tackle the illegal migration issue from Bangladesh.

“There is large-scale fabrication of documents, birth certificates, identity proof, land documents etc which needs to be uncovered by a central agency as such papers will be the basis for asking citizenship,” PVM Convenor Upamanyu Hazarika told reporters.

  1. Its a must to do task by any government. The whole of north eastern region is becoming a good destination of illegal migrants. In Manipur , kuki and Muslim from Myanmar and Bangladesh are becoming dominant population and they will outnumbered indigenous population of the state within a decades time. I hailed the steps taken by Assam government. Hope, Manipur government too followed that same.

    1. Hi Dhiren,

Thank you so much for sharing your views on the problem of Bangladeshi Illegal Immigration that is now not only the concern for states of Assam and Tripura but for the entire North east Region. The Bangladeshi Miyas are spreading very fast across the entire North Eastern Region.

In Manipur there are growing concerns due to Bangladeshi Miyas ( Rohingya ) who are being kicked out by Myanmar Government and are fleeing first to Eastern India and later spreading across the country.

But we will have to wait till a new Government is sworn in like Assam that is not dependent on Miyas or other illegals for support and survival, until then all we can do is spread awareness about this nuisance!

      Regards

      Kameng
